Upcoming Fund Raising Events for Guardian Angels Bird Sanctuary

Sunday 25th October - Guardian Angels Bird Sanctuary Autumn Fayre

Come along to our Autumn Fayre and you can meet our lovely puppy Aurora who will be just 9 weeks old. Sit back, relax and have a burger, bacon cob or jacket potato and a cup of tea and have a go at our easy to play games and tombola, all with fantastic prizes. Then, when your lunch has gone down, come back and have a scrumptious cake. Then, have a walk round our 20+ craft stalls and maybe there'll be a perfect Christmas present for you to choose.

The "Roll the Ball" tournament at our Autumn Fayre is a very special one. It will be exactly 5 years since we started our ranking system, although the game itself has been in existence for over 13 years. This will be the 37th ranking event. So, there will be an extra prize on the 25th October and the top 4 scores on the day will win them. The prizes are a bottle of peach schnapps, the lovely jewellery box (open and closed in the photos), a cuddly gorilla and a very soft pair of panda slippers. Plus, as well as the ongoing rankings, we have our "Player of the Season" initiative, where the winner receives a bottle of Cava and an engraved plaque. A perfect way to spend a Sunday lunchtime. Saturday 21st November - Stapleford Christmas Lights Switch on at Walter Parker VC Memorial Square, Stapleford NG9 7AR

All proceeds made by Guardian Angels Bird Sanctuary at this event will go towards the upkeep of our 200+ resident birds and any other birds in need that arrive in the near future. We will have a number of fund raising ideas for the day including a tombola (5 tickets for £1) We have 3 games to play to win a variety of prizes. These are "Play Your Cards Right" (50p per go, enough room permitting) and the incredibly popular "Hook-a-Duck" (just £1.50 per go and a prize of your choice every time) and "Roll the Ball" (£1 for 10 balls). There will also be a big array of delicious home baked cakes and biscuits, including gingerbread men (£1 each). We'll be set up by 1pm and will be there until the last customer goes home around 7pm (could be midnight). So, if you're in or around Stapleford on Saturday the 21st, please pop along to one of our biggest fund raisers of the year.

Saturday 28th November - Eastwood Christmas Lights Switch on outside Lawrence Veterinary Centre, Nottingham Road, Eastwood NG16 3GG

Our Christmas fund raisers continue when we will be outside Lawrence Veterinary Centre, Eastwood from around 1pm until 8.30pm. We'll have our usual tombola and "Hook-a-Duck" with loads of prizes that are Christmas related and plenty of potential presents for the whole family. We'll have a gazebo full of fresh, homemade cakes and we'll also have loads of mushy peas on sale (£1.50 per pot) to keep you warm in the cold night air. Also, "Roll the Ball" will have prizes including Rebecca's legendary gingerbread house. Remember Roll the Ballers, it's also our last ranking event of the year. Who will be the Christmas number 1 and who will become our first "Player of the Year" and walk away with an engraved plaque and a bottle of Cava. From around 4ish, we'll be opening our Santa's Grotto. So, bring your kids along to see Santa and receive a present and adults as well (why not?). It promises to be a brilliant day.
